How do we move through a context? What are the spatial elements and ambiences of the space that are relevant to movement, its trajectory, thresholding and sequencing? What affects us in/during our spatial trajectory? How can we document and model the movements and its spatial conditions in these boundaries? What are the 'boundaries' within our living? How can the notion of a structural construct re-define spaces, functions, activities and other context determinants around us? Is such structure dependent, pulling from current infrastructure for support, or is it self-contained? How/When do we detect and/or engage those structures? To what degree it is visible? Is it a permanent assembly, or a temporary one? Can we enact new understandings of the context through bridging, linking, thresholding and/or sequencing? How much can a threshold (or a series of thresholds) affect our inhabitation?
Study of Parameters
The parameters of light, movement, vision, and rhythm un-veiled within the groups’ individual experiences helped reveal the potential of our chosen site at Cresent Drive Park upon its discovery. An urge to explore and understand the world around us became the driving force of creative exploration.
Site Selection
Site located within Crescent Drive Park at the intersection of four walkways within the density of the forest. Chosen as the site due to the interactive nature and narrative of exploration that sprouted our creative process. The site paid homage to aspects found in our domestic site studies; light, vision, rhythm, and movement.
Design Evolution
The project is located above this intersection and within the forest to create a vertical and horizontal installation. It encourages one to immerse ones-self in different layers and contexts of the forest.  Through movement within the structure, elevation of the loops, and different viewpoints at each end. To see beyond one’s familiar point of view and venture into unfamiliar levels of perspective.
Vision Changes
The digital drawing demonstrate the experience within the structure and how vision changes while moving around within the building. Drawings also depict a different range of vision can be changed by elevation of the building.
